Croatia & Montenegro

The east coast of the Adriatic has all the appeal of the classic destinations, but with an alternative proposal. From the historic ancient city of Dubrovnik, to the Strait of Otranto, this region has much to offer, both for lovers of history, and for lovers of sun, beaches and Mediterranean cuisine.

This noble region has seen the rise and fall of various empires and it is possible to identify the influence of different cultures in ports that even today maintain the original appearance of medieval villages. After centuries marked by conflict, the region has gained a new life over the last decade and has been developed as a tourist destination. With beaches and the iconic Adriatic and the charm of old world architecture amid beautiful lavender fields, Croatia became one of the most popular destinations in Europe, offering private and idyllic anchorages such as the island of Vis, scenic ports like Hvar with flourishing restaurants, spas and nightlife, in addition to the architectural treasures of a people who remain, above all, happy and hospitable.

After 50 years closed to tourism, the island of Lastovo is an option for fishing enthusiasts with its almost untouched natural setting together with its regional wines. For these and many other reasons, it is very difficult to depart from Croatia without planning a future visit. Montenegro offers an equally beautiful coast with its natural resources and it too is rich in history. The picturesque Bay of Kotor, in the Middle Ages served as one of the major commercial and artistic centers of the Byzantine Empire. This is an area that should definitely be visited and appreciated from the sea.
